The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) has stepped up their control and patrol for Nordcom 2 building under covid-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) regulations 2020. Entry to Nordcom 2 is only allowed with a valid approval from the authorities. We understand the heart of our members who would like to continue to fill the house of God with prayer and reverence. But we would like to ask Church members not to visit the church sanctuary in this period, as we may face the risk of a hefty fine of $10,000 or more if we get caught. During this time, let’s devote ourselves more in prayer and build up the churches in our homes.

Services & Bible Studies will be conducted on Youtube and Zoom.

13 March 2020

In light of the current situation of the fast-spreading of the global pandemic COVID-19, the church encourages everyone to take extra measures according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.

The church will follow MOH’s advisory as follows:

  1. All ticketed cultural, sports and entertainment events, with 250 participants or more, will be deferred or cancelled. For events that have already been committed (e.g. tickets sold), organisers must demonstrate that satisfactory precautionary measures have been put in place before they can proceed.
  2. For all other mass gatherings including private functions and religious services, organisers are advised to put in place the following precautions:
    1. Reduce the scale of events to below 250 participants where possible.
    2. Reduce the crowding of participants and improve ventilation. For example, participants could be seated at least a metre apart from one another, and be advised to reduce contact with others (e.g. avoid shaking hands);
    3. Put in place temperature and health screening measures, as well as turn away persons who are unwell.
    4. Put in place measures to facilitate contact tracing if needed, such as obtaining contact details of participants.
  3. Participants are also advised to practise social responsibility – monitor their own health condition and avoid attending gatherings and events if unwell.

Zion Church will take the following precautions:

  • We will make it mandatory for all who come to church to wear mask during church services and activities, and will reduce our Lord’s Day program to only main service (since eating requires taking the mask off).
  • Church will not limit but encourage small/cell group gatherings with precautionary measures (wearing masks) for prayer and fellowship. Please bring your own mask to services. The church will provide a mask if you don’t have any.
  • Lord’s Day services and Wednesday services will continue on in the main sanctuary. Elijah, Timothy, and Gabriel services will continue on in their respective sanctuaries. You may choose to sit in the fellowship hall during the services or worship via live broadcast.

Let us be sure not to let this situation deter or negatively affect true and sincere worship and our spiritual relationship with God. Let us pray and worship even more sincerely and fervently for God’s grace to cover us and help us return to normal worship and gathering schedule.
